Ha Noi targets over 3,500 professional art performances annually​

VGP – Ha Noi has set a goal of organizing between 3,500 and 4,000 professional art performances annually by 2020, according to the city’s newly approved cultural industries development strategy by 2020, with a vision towards 2030.

Specifically, from 2016 to 2020, Ha Noi’s cinematography industry will strive to produce 3-5 feature films and 4-6 documentary, science and animated films of each genre per year, whilst investing in upgrading and modernizing cinemas.

The local performance art sector target to stage and perform 15-20 plays annually concerning the forms of cheo (traditional opera), cai luong (reformed theatre), kich noi (drama) and contemporary arts, towards a revenue of approximately US$5 million.  

The cultural tourism industry is expected to account for 10-15% of the total revenue of US$5.26 million from visitors.

The city has also set orientations and gradually developed architecture, designing, publication, fine arts, photography and exhibition into important service sectors, making positive and effective contributions to the national socio-economic development.

Regarding orientations towards 2030, Ha Noi targets to rapidly increase revenues from cultural industries, continue generating more jobs for the society and enhance local citizens’ cultural enjoyment capacity.

The local cinematography strives to produce 5 feature films and 10 documentary, science and animated films of each genre per year. The number of professional art performances is expected to hit over 4,000, while the local performance art sector works towards a revenue of US$8 million.

In addition, Ha Noi will diversify, synchronize and modernize cultural industries in a sustainable fashion with the application of technological advances, as well as develop brands for internationally and domestically prestigious cultural products and services./.
