Ha Noi takes lead in using clean energy
VGP – Ha Noi’s electricity sector recommends customers use green technology products, especially the rooftop solar panel systems – a source of renewable energy which is rated efficient and environmentally friendly, and has gradually become popular over recent times.

Ha Noi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) has implemented the installation of rooftop solar systems in a number of qualified units, such as the headquarters of the Hotline power repair center, the Nam Tu Liem Power Company and 110-220kV transformer substations.
After the implementation period, these systems have brought about many positive results. The first benefit is the reduction in costs and power consumption at headquarters and substations, contributing to reducing source capacity of Ha Noi’s power grid.
In addition, the installation of rooftop solar systems will help to mitigate heat for buildings and offices, as well as to reduce power consumption of air conditioners.
“Installing rooftop solar power systems will alleviate dependence on the common existing energy systems, such as the national power grid, while contributing to minimizing risks of overload that disrupts power supply,” EVNHANOI Sales Manager To Lan Phuong said.
Viet Nam is assessed to have great potential for solar power development with a total of 1,400-3,000 sunshine hours a year.
Given their reasonable prices and diverse products and designs, rooftop solar power systems have become increasingly favored and are being used by many households in Ha Noi.
Investment in rooftop solar systems not only generates economic efficiency for the people but also shows the joint effort for a clean energy-using society, thus reducing the burden on power plants in the context that resources such as coal and hydropower are gradually running out.
