Hà Nội strives for higher competitiveness
VGP - Hà Nội is focusing on dealing with obstacles relating to land transfer and rent and grant of land-use right certificates to enterprises, in a move to sharpen its competitive edge, the municipal People’s Committee said.
First of all, the city will act to further raise its leaders and public servants’ awareness and responsibility for assisting enterprises.
Administrative reforms will be accelerated to minimize expenses and shorten time for firms to start a business.
More transparent information will be publicized for enterprises.
The city will also speed up process of solving issues relating to business premises and providing business assistance services.
The city will make public the strategy on its socioeconomic development till 2030 with vision to 2050, socioeconomic development plan till 2020 with vision to 2030, and land use plan in the 2011-2020 period and relevant plans right after they are approved.
In 2010, Hà Nội’s PCI was 55.73 points, ranking the 43rd out of 63 cities and provinces nationwide, compared with the 33rd in 2009.
