VGP - Social distancing is mandatory at all restaurants and coffee shops in Ha Noi, starting from 0:00 am on August 19.

The move was made by the Municipal People’s Committee after the city confirmed eight out of its ten patients are community infection cases while tens of thousands of tourists returning from Da Nang have not got RT-PCR tests.

Residents are asked to wear face masks at public places and avoid mass gatherings of over 30 people in public places.

Especially, food and beverage stores have to seriously enforce preventive measures, including arranging seats of at least one meter from each other and partitions are encouraged.

Staff at restaurants and coffee shops must wear masks and measure customers’ temperature. Hand sanitizer must be available while frequently-contacted objects should be cleaned regularly.

As reported earlier, more than 100,000 Hanoians travelled to Da Nang from July 15-29.

The city has carried out quick testing for more than 75,100 people and PCR, a real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, testing for 50,602 others.

The city is striving to quickly complete RT-PCT testing for all travellers with travel records to Da Nang, by August 20.

The city has recorded 33 COVID-19 cases since July 25. Of these, 10 are local infections and the remaining are imported cases./.
