VGP – A total of 238 enterprises in Ha Noi have been reshuffled and equitized during the 2011-2016.

t was reported by Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung at a national video conference implementing rearrangement and renovation of State-owned enterprises (SOEs) for the 2016-2020 period on December 6.

The city has divested the State-owned capital worth VND780 billion from 51 businesses, bringing in VND1.634 trillion, a difference of VND 874 billion, Chung said.

He noted that Ha Noi built an SOEs equitization plan for the 2016-2020 period right from the beginning of the year, which has been approved by the Standing Board of the municipal Party Committee and submitted to the government.

In December 2016 and January 2017, the city will strive to complete the equitization process for the Ha Noi Trade Corporation (Hapro) with the value of VND 2 trillion, the Ha Noi leader said, adding that the city currently has 96 enterprises yet to be equitized, 16 of which are totally owned by the State with an estimated capital of VND 24-25 trillion.

To ensure efficient equitization for 2016-2020, he suggested equitization of the SOEs that the State does not need to hold stakes, while asking the government to soon issue an alternative decree on converting 100% State-owned enterprises into joint stock companies due to several problems in the implementation process.
