Ha Noi presents medical supplies to assist New York in COVID-19 fight
VGP – The Ha Noi People’s Committee on June 1 presented 100,000 antibacterial fabric masks and 50,000 medical face masks to support the COVID-19 relief efforts in the United States city of New York.

The masks are manufactured by Vietnamese businesses, meeting quality standards prescribed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health and bearing the European Union’s CE marking.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the event was organized on the basis of the comprehensive partnership between Viet Nam and the US, showing Ha Noi’s solidarity and responsibility to international friends in the face of a global issue.
The gift reflects the sentiments of the authorities and people of Ha Noi toward the authorities and residents of New York in the fight against the pandemic, he stated.
Chung voiced his belief that with the drastic measures undertaken by the US government and authorities of US localities, as well as the efforts and determination of the people and cooperation from international friends, the country would soon overcome the disease.
For his part, US Ambassador to Viet Nam Daniel Kritenbrink extended his special thanks to the Ha Noimayor for organizing such a meaningful program.
He applauded and congratulated the Vietnamese Government and Ha Noi concerning the effective COVID-19 prevention and control measures they have been implementing in recent times./.
