Ha Noi Moi Run for Peace 2017 opens

More than 1,500 athletes, who were Hanoians, capital city officials, workers, students, and foreigners working and living in Ha Noi, competed in separate categories and prizes for professional and amateur runners.

In the pro events, women ran three laps - equivalent to 5,250m - around Hoan Kiem Lake. The men completed five laps, around 8,750m.

In the amateur category, runners competed in a range of distances, ranging from 1,730m to 5,250m.

The annual event was co-hosted by the Ha Noi People's Committee, the Ha Noi Moi Newspaper and the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
