Ha Noi mayor receives outgoing Cuban Ambassador

VGP - Chairman of Ha N oi’s People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung in Ha Noi on September 7 received outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Viet Nam Herminio Lopez Diaz.

At the reception, the Ambassador said, during the 4-year tenure, he had tried his best to become a bridge connecting Ha Noi and Cuban localities.

Bilateral ties of the two cities reached new levels via numerous diplomat delegation exchanges, and cooperation activities in culture, commerce, economy, medicine and pharmacy area.

In turnChairman Nguyen Duc Chung congratulated the diplomat on having completed his mission in Viet Nam as a key figure to promote Viet Nam-Cuba relations, the special and exemplary one set up by late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro, and nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries. He also hoped that the Cuban Ambassador would continue to support future cooperation between the two capital cities.

 

Appreciating the Ambassador’s role in bilateral diplomatic achievement, Chairman Ngyen Duc Chung hoped that Herminio Lopez Diaz would continue to support Ha Noi-Havana friendship.
