Ha Noi looks towards modern industrial city by 2030

Ha Noi is striving to become a city of industrialization and modernization by 2025; a modern industrial city by 2030; with development of selective industrial production industries, and create breakthrough industries and products with modern and advanced technologies, and with a high gray matter content, as a basis for knowledge-based economy development.

It is the industrial goal of Ha Noi city that has been agreed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. 

The ministry has also confirmed that it will assign tasks to relevant agencies to realize the goal.

Accordingly, with a vision toward 2045, Ha Noi is set to become a modern industrial city in the region and internationally, and the information technology center of the country.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will strengthen coordination and support for the city so that by 2025, it will be built into a major trade and economic center of the country and Southeast Asia. 

Besides, the two sides will coordinate to promote the establishment of shopping malls, supermarkets, consumption chains, convenience stores, online sales, vending machines, international financial and trade center, national and international fair and exhibition center, banking and financial service center in Ha Noi.

Additionally, the two sides will encourage modern service business organizations such as shopping malls, supermarkets, consumer goods chains, convenience stores, online sales, and vending machines, international financial and trade center, national and international fair and exhibition centers, and banking and financial service centers.

The capital city will develop modern forms of distribution and apply e-commerce, step by step establish a non-cash electronic payment network; synchronously complete legal provisions and policies on development of trade - services; bring into full play all resources for developing commercial - service infrastructure, deserving its position as the national political - administrative - economic center.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ha Noi agreed to assign a deputy minister of Industry and Trade and a vice chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee to be in charge of guiding agencies to implement the above-mentioned contents, assign the Planning Department under Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade to be the focal points.
