Ha Noi lifts lockdown in COVID-19 hotspot Ha Loi
VGP - H a Loi commune in Me Linh District, one of the main hotspots for COVID-19 in Ha N o i , ended its 28-day lockdown at midnight on May 6.

During the lockdown period, 12 checkpoints were set up around Ha Loi commune for 24-hour control for fear of the outbreak of COVID-19.
Residents in Ha Loi commune were not allowed to travel outside the area from April 8-May 5. Ha Loi commune is home to nearly 3,000 households with around 11,000 people.
The lockdown of Ha Loi commune is regarded as a prompt and necessary measures to prevent the transmissions of COVID-19 into community as a 47-year old man residing in the commune (patient numbered 243) was tested positive for the virus.
Three out of the 13 COVID-19 patients from Ha Loi commune have recovered.
As of early May 6, Viet Nam has confirmed 271 COVID-19 infection cases, of whom 232 have been cleared of the virus and recovered.
The country has reported zero new COVID-19 infection case in the community for the past 20 days.
