Ha Noi International Film Festival 2020 to be held
VGP - T he 6th Ha N oi International Film Festival 2020 will be held in Ha Noi from November 4 - 11, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This year’s festival will run under the theme of “Cinema, Integration and Sustainable Development” and aims to honour outstanding movies that showcase great artistic values.
The festival will include the following programs: film contest; overview of world cinema; national cinema spotlight: UK Cinema; Vietnamese contemporary film program; HANIFF Young Talent Composer Camp; film project market; and many exhibitions and film workshops.
An exhibition on the local cinema industry and movie screenings are also due to take place during the five-day festival.
The past five editions of the festival received entries from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Argentina, France, Mexico, Romania, Iran, and Poland, and others.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also assigned the Cinema Department to act as the standing agency to co-organize the event.
First held back in 2010, the event serves to provide a platform for both Vietnamese and international artists to share their professional expertise, whilst also popularising the country, its people, and culture to international friends.
