Ha Noi hopes for stronger ties with Indian localities

At the reception, Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has expressed his hope that India Ambassador to Viet Nam Pranay Verma, in his new role after finishing his term in Viet Nam, will continue to support the relations between Ha Noi and India so that they reach new heights.  

Also, he called on Indian enterprises to land investment in the city’s IT sector, and smart urban area building, saying that the move will help further the Viet Nam-India relations and Ha Noi City-India ties in particular.

Mr. Chung showed his high appreciation for the ambassador’s role in fostering the relations between two countries as well as between Ha Noi and India.

In turn, Pranay Verma thanked the municipal authorities for their support to the India Embassy in cooperation activities.

He affirmed that India is willing to share experience with Viet Nam in the fields of mutual interest while seeking connection and cooperation opportunities between localities.

The Indian ambassador said the friendship between India and Viet Nam has been developing in recent years, but has yet been on par with the potential of the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

The launch of direct air routes between Ha Noi and New Delhi and other big cities of India will make it easier for bilateral exchanges, he added./.
