Hà Nội accelerates administrative reform

VGP - Improving the quality of one-stop divisions and expanding joint one-stop units were the focal points of Hà Nội’s efforts to speed up administrative reform in the first half of this year.

One-stop divisions have received and dealt with administrative procedures relating to construction investment management, architecture planning, business registration, land, labor, war invalids and social affairs. Joint one-stop units have received and dealt with those relating to billboard-based advertisements and payment of land owners.

By April 22, the city had reviewed 1,638 administrative procedures, including 1,183 ones of departments and sectors, 300 of districts, and 155 of communes. The Hà Nội Customs Department is among pioneers in applying information technology in management.

Hà  Nội strives to have all departments, sectors, districts and towns, and one-fifth of communes and wards completing their internal information technology systems; all departments, sectors, districts and towns having electronic information portals or websites, providing 11 public services online at level 3.
