Ha Noi – a locomotive in regional linkage

VGP – As the growth driver of the northern key economic region, Ha Noi is considered as a bright spot in socio-economic development as well as in strengthening regional linkages and connecting supply- demand with provinces and cities throughout the country.

The connection has enabled businesses to take the initiative in output and consumption markets, accelerate the production and trading of Vietnamese goods in the domestic market and for exports.

 

According to the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade, over recent times the capital city has implemented many regional linkage, trade connection and trade promotion programs with cities and provinces, aiming to facilitate the exploitation of strength products and meet the consumption needs of local people.

 

In the period of 2016-2018, Ha Noi coordinated with provinces and cities to organize 28 trade exchange activities to connect agricultural and food products.

 

In addition to organizing conferences and the connection events, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade has cooperated with the Ha Noi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to implement a number of solutions to support businesses in 46 provinces and cities in improving the value of goods, developing and advertising trademarks, renovating product designs and packaging and building smart electronic stamps - QR codes for 250 product lines which originate from provinces and are taken to Ha Noi to be consumed in supermarkets and the distribution systems in foreign countries such as AEON (Japan), Lottemart (Republic of Korea), Big C of Central Group (Thailand), and Rungis wholesale market (France).

 

Being aware of its role as a development center of the northern key economic region, over recent times, Ha Noi has proactively developed mechanisms and policies to support the acceleration of production, business and goods trading with other localities in the region.

 

In order to further promote linkages in the field, localities should create the products which have high quality, value and competitiveness and meet the standards of the production chain when being supplied to the capital city.
