Foreign tourists to Hà Nội rise

VGP - Nearly 578,000 foreigners visited Hà Nội in the first 3 months of this year, which showed an increase of 20% year on year, according to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The capital city welcomed a total of nearly 4.4 million domestic and foreign visitors from January to March, up 28%, mainly due to its improved tourism environment, infrastructure and service quality.
The Department has built tourism development schemes by promoting the attraction of the Thăng Long Royal Citadel, Gióng Festival, Ba Vì mountain, Đông Ngạc ancient villages… It will, by the end of this year, complete a scheme on developing the city’s tourism till 2020 with a vision to 2030.
