The event is jointly held by the German Embassy, the Goethe Institute Viet Nam, ACM and other German organizations in Ha Noi.

The event aims to offer the public a typical Christmas atmosphere in the traditional German style.

According to Director of Goethe Institute Viet Nam Wilfried Eckstein, the fair will feature 13 booths, most of which will introduce craft products, including different Christmas decorations and some traditional German foods.

Especially, among the booths, there are eight simulating the wooden house. At the same time, the highlight of the market is an eight-meter high Christmas tree decorated with lights.

The highlight of the Christmas Market will be Christmas Concert performed by the Suc Song Moi Bambus Ensemble, which features classical music and international Christmas favorites to sing along to. The concert will be held at the market at 6pm on December 14, 2017.

In addition, at 8pm on December 21, the Viet Nam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) will perform Christmas music pieces, such as Mass K.317 of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Orchestral Suite No.3 in D major, BWV 1068 of J.S. Bach, under the baton of conductor Honna Tetsuji.

The concert will feature the combination of two Vietnamese artists Ha Pham Thang Long and Vu Manh Dung and two German artists, Claire Gascoin and Florian Siever.

Visitors will have a chance to experience Christmas with all their senses, purchase special hand-made items and spend memorable moments with friends and family over a cup of hot wine.
