Festival of worship of the Mother Goddess
VGP - The festival of worship of the Mother Goddess take place at both district and city level from October 15th to November 17th and from November 28th to 30th respectively to commemorate the Mother Goddess Lieu Hanh, one of the Four Immortals in Vietnamese legends

The festival draw the participation of practicioners from various temples, palaces and Chau Van singing clubs in the capital to worship the Mother Goddess.
Vice-Director of Ha Noi City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and head of the festivals organizing board Nguyen Khac Loi said the event will be an opportunity for practitioners of the worship of the Mother Goddess in Ha Noi to have exchanges, improve their spiritual life and glorify national traditional culture, contributing to preserving and promoting cultural fine values of the worship of the Mother Goddess in the modern time.
The festival is the cradle of “hau bong” (also known as “hau dong”) - an age-old spiritual ritual of the Vietnamese people, which is indispensable in the worshipping practise of the Mother Goddess religion. Performances in the festival will praise deities and heroes who made great contributions to the nation
