Export turnover fetches over US$ 2 billion in first two months
VGP – Ha Noi’s export turnover was estimated at US$ 2,095 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 25.1%, the local Statistics Office reported.

In February, the city shipped US$ 993 million of goods abroad, or a month-on-month decline of 9.9% and a year-on-year growth of 19.5%.
Big hard currency earners included garments and textiles (up 61.4%); computers and peripheral devices (up 34.1%).
Import turnover in February was estimated at US$ 2.49 billion, down 9.5% against the previous month, but up 15.4% against the same period last year.
Biggest imports included chemicals (up 51.6%) and petrol (up 42.7%).
In the January-February period, import revenue touched US$ 5,242 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 23.8%.
Experts attributed the declining export turnover and increasing import revenue to higher demands for the prolong Tet holidays./.
