Export exceeds US$ 1.22 billion in October

Overseas shipment of agro-products grew 51.7% (including rice up 127%); garments and textiles up 35.7%; petrol up 209.5%; transport and spare parts up 33.1%. 

In the first ten months, the city earned US$ 11.56 billion of export turnover, up 20.1% against the same period last year. Agricultural exports picked up dramatically by 42.4%; followed by garments and textiles (up 20.1%); petrol (up 66.2%). 

However, overseas shipment of some products decreased including machines and spare parts (down 6.4%); glass and glass products (down 1.1%).

Import turnover was estimated at US$ 2.67 billion, representing a month-on-month growth of 5.8% and a year-on-year growth of 12.9%./.
