Entry and medical quarantine to be strengthened
VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has asked tougher management of foreigners’ entry and medical quarantine in a bid to prevent coronavirus transmission in the community.

Departments, sectors, and People’s Committees at grass-root levels were asked to seriously implement a decision of the Ministry of Health on temporary instruction on medical quarantine and infection of Covid-19 for vehicles and drivers at border gates in road, rail, waterway and air routes and another document of the National Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control on further support for foreigners on entry to Viet Nam for working and tougher management of flight crew.
Disease control measures would be seriously enforced at Noi Bai international airport.
The Ha Noi Capital Special High Command of the People’s Army and the Ha Noi Police Force would continue to manage quarantine camps.
The Ha Noi Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control asked for tougher management of quarantine work for experts and crews at designated hotels.
Eighty-five days have passed since the last local infection of coronavirus was recorded in Viet Nam, the national steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control said on July 10 morning.
At present, 12,923 people having close contact with confirmed cases or coming from pandemic-hit areas are in quarantine in Viet Nam, including 72 in hospitals, 12,447 in other quarantine sites, and 404 at home or accommodation facilities./.
