Double-decker sightseeing buses expect to attract tourists

VGP – After nearly five months of trial, double-decker sightseeing buses in Ha Noi have received positive feedback from local residents, promising to lure more tourists to the Capital City.

The Ha Noi municipal People's Committee assigned the Ha Noi Transport and Services Corporation (TRANSERCO) to pilot double-decker sightseeing business in favor of tourism development. 

TRANSERCO put on trial the city tour buses on June 30 and immediately received positive response from local residents and tourists. 

The Ha Noi Departments of Transport and Tourism built a roadmap, time schedule, and operational criteria for the first City bus tour in Ha Noi. 

Accordingly, during week days, the City bus tour will operate in 19 roads namely the Ha Noi Opera House – Dinh Tien Hoang – Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square- Le Thai To-Trang Thi-Dien Bien Phu-Doc Lap-Hoang Van Thu-Hung Vuong-Thanh Nien-Yen Phu-Thanh Nien-Hung Vuong-Phan Dinh Phung-Hoang Dieu-Le Hong Phong-Hung Vuong-Nguyen Thai Hoc-Cu Nam-Pham Boi Chau-Ly Thuong Kiet-Phan Chu Trinh-Ha Noi Opera House.

At weekends, the route will run through the Ha Noi Opera House-Trang Tien-Ngo Quyen-Ly Thuong Kiet-Quang Trung-Trang Thi-Dien Bien Phu-Doc Lap-Hoang Van Thu-Hung Vuong-Thanh Nien-Yen Phu- Thanh Nien-Hung Vuong-Phan Dinh Phung-Hoang Dieu-Le Hong Phong-Hung Vuong-Nguyen Thai Hoc-Cua Nam-Phan Boi Chau-Ly Thuong Kiet-Phan Chu Trinh-the Ha Noi Opera House. 

There will have 14 bus stops for tourists at sightseeing areas namely the Ha Noi Opera House, Ha Noi Post Office; Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, the Great Church; the Viet Nam Military History Museum; the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Temple, Cu Bac Church; Thang Thang Imperial Citadel, the Temple of Literature; Hoa Lo Prision; and near the Viet Nam Womens Museum./.
