Directive on nCoV prevention released

VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has recently issued a directive to strengthen preventive measures amidst complicated developments of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

Specifically, the People’s Committee reported that as of February 2, no nCoV infected cases have been recorded in Ha Noi. The city has 26 suspected cases with symptoms of cough and fever with prehistoric movement from the disease-affected region. So far, all isolated people had stable condition. 15 cases were tested negative for nCoV. The others have been closely monitored and isolated. 

The directive highlights the importance of ensuring health and lives for citizens; minimizing fatality; properly control outbreaks. 

The Department Health is responsible for updating disease transmission and timely consulting the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee to tighten preventive measures; ensuring adequate medical facilities to prevent the epidemic. 

Especially, suspected patients must be isolated.

Scenarios on disease transmission and responding measures will be issued. 

The Department of Education and Training is in charge of directing suspected cases to stay away from schools; apply preventive measures such as wearing face masks, washing hands with soap, and using antiseptic products. 

The Department of Tourism is responsible for closely supervising nCoV infection and directing travel agencies to cancel tours to affected  regions and stop receiving tourists from coronavirus-hit areas. 

The Department of Information and Communications was asked to work with press agencies to disclose information on disease transmission./.
