CPI picks up 0.58% in October
VGP – The consumer price index (CPI) experienced a month-on-month increase of 0.58% and a year-on-year growth of 2.65% in October, the Ha Noi Statistics Office reported.

In October, eight out of 11 groups of products and services witnessed price hikes.
The group of restaurants and food services saw the biggest price increases; followed by transport and housing, electricity, water, fuel, and building materials (up 0.7%).
In the first ten months, CPI picked up 3.63% against the same period last year of which prices of restaurants and services increased by 4.2%; housing, electricity, fuel, and building materials up 4.4%; education up 10.75%; medicines and health care service up 3.92%.
In October, gold price experienced a month-on-month decline of 0.45% and a year-on-year increase of 20.87%.
USD price was stable in comparison with last month but saw a year-on-year decline of 0.51%.
In the first ten months, gold and USD prices increased 6.59% and 1.35%, respectively./.
