Capital strives for energy efficiency
VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has recently issued a plan to implement the National Program on Electrical Energy Efficiency and Conservation in Ha Noi in 2020.

The plan targets to raise awareness and competence on energy management and consumption in the city; uphold the strength of the community to guarantee energy security; protect the environment; and develop local economy.
Under the plan, the city will guide and provide technical support for producers and businesses to apply and develop energy saving equipment modals.
By 2020, energy saving rate would reach 1.4-2.2%.
In addition, the plan will support enterprises to participate in expos, workshops, and exhibitions on energy saving and promote social engagement in renovating energy saving facilities.
The local authorities also planned to inspect energy saving work.
The VND 22.4 billon plan will receive VND 15.94 billion of local budget. Meanwhile, the rest of VND 6.46 billion will be contributed by social organizations and individuals.
The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee tasked the Department of Industry and Trade to inspect the enforcement of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy.
The Ha Noi Electricity Corporation (EVN Ha Noi) was asked to craft plans and solutions to manage power demand and ensure adequate power supply for local production, business, and consumption./.
