Capital strives for 2020 preset goals
VGP – The Chairman of Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has called upon the city to uphold the sense of solidarity, wisdom, discipline, creation, to overcome challenges to fulfill the goals set for 2020 and the five-year development plan (2016-2020).

HN: attractive destination for investors
The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee convened a conference to sum up emulation movements in 2019 and launch emulation campaigns in 2020 in accordance with the Government’s Resolution 01/NQ-CP on key measures to implement socio-economic development plan and State budget.
The event drew the attendance of Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Emulation Tran Thi Ha.
Addressing the event, Chairman of Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that in 2019, the city upheld the high spirit of solidarity, creation, and responsibility and fulfilled 22 socio-economic development norms of which eight were exceeded. GRDP grew 7.62%, the highest level over the past ten years, contributing 19.37% of national GDP. Export growth rate picked up 20.3%. The number of tourists reached 20 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 10.1%. Total tourism revenue hit VND 103.8 trillion, up 34%.
Striving for economic growth and sustainable development
Chairman Chung announced that in 2020, the city will host 17 national-level events and an international-level sport event – the Formula 1 Viet Nam Grand Prix which will take place on April 3-5, 2020.
In addition, the city has promptly prepared for SEA Game 31 in 2021.
The city will continue to perfect the investment environment; promote business; and transform economic structure. /.
