The permission was made yesterday at a meeting of the local Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Customers must maintain a 1m safe distance and must comply with the Covid-19 prevention regulations. Meanwhile, catering businesses must use QR CODE software and strictly comply with the city’s directives.

Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung stressed that all karaoke parlors, bars, discos, food stalls and cafes remain closed until further notice.

Regarding religious monuments, the Vice Chairman assigned the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports and local authorities in districts to check and prepare the pandemic prevention plans when the municipal government decides to reopen in a few days.

Deputy Director of the Health Department Hoang Duc Hanh reported that the city has gone 14 days without new local infections (since February 16).

However, he warned local authorities of the pandemic risk when students come back to school.

Khong Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Ha Noi Center for Disease Control (CDC) suggested people with travel history to Hai Duong from March 3 comply with health registration requirements, especially those from Cam Giang, Kinh Mon, Kiem Thanh and Hai Duong city needing to make 14-day stay-home notice.

Earlier, over 2 million learners in Ha Noi were allowed to go back to school on March 2, after an extended one-month Tet break and online classes due to Covid-19. University student schedules would be determined by the universities themselves, though the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control recommended they reopen from March 15 to ensure social distancing measures./.
