Capital prepares for Lunar New Year Festival

VGP – The Ha Noi Party Committee has tasked relevant agencies to prepare for the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival.

The Municipal Party Committee's Commission of Communication and Education was asked to disseminate the preparation of the Lunar New Year Festival and the celebrations of the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (February 3, 1930-February 3, 2020) and the 90th founding anniversary of the Hanoi Party Organization.

The Ha Noi Party Committee asked all committees and administrations to take care of families of policy beneficiaries, the poor, disadvantaged people. 

Earlier, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc approved a proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on the 2020 Lunar New Year holiday. Under the proposal, employees in State administrative agencies, non-productive establishments, political and socio-political organizations will have seven days off from January 23 to 29 to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Rat.

The Lunar New Year is the biggest festival in a year for Vietnamese. It is a tradition for family reunion, and most people will try to return to their home village for the celebration./.
