Capital prepares for 1,010th founding anniversary of Thang Long
VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has recently issued Plan 187/KH-UBND on the celebration of the 1,010th founding anniversary of Thang Long-Ha Noi .

The celebration will take place on October 10, 2020 at Ly Thai To Park with the participation of about 500 delegates.
The Department of Culture and Sports was assigned to organize the anniversary in a practical, efficient, and educational manner, targeting to educate the youth on the tradition of national construction and defense and honor the historical and revolution values.
Earlier, the local authorities passed a plan to organize 45 activities before, during and after the 1,010th anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi.
The highlights of the activities include the incense offering ceremony to commemorate King Ly Thai To (the founder of Ha Noi) at the relic sites such as Do temple (Bac Ninh province), the ancient capital of Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh province) and the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long (scheduled to be held on October 9); a ceremony to commemorate the 1,010th founding anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi and the city’s Patriotic Emulation Congress in the 2020-2025 period which is expected to take place on October 10./.
