Capital implements 2019 socio-economic development tasks

Accordingly, the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee will fruitfully implement the theme "Enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of the political system.”

The local authorities will realize 11 socio-economic development norms for 2019; focusing on perfecting the investment and business environment; encouraging innovation; developing the number of enterprises in both quality and quantity; restructure economic sectors in combination with growth modal transformation; raise productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness.

The city will better urban planning and construction; build new rural areas; manage natural resources; protect the environment; develop culture, education and healthcare; ensure social security, vocational training, job generation, and improve people’s living standards; accelerate information application; and build smart city. 

In addition, the city will speed up the administrative reform; drastically combat corruption and wastefulness; consolidate national defense; safeguard social security; improve efficiency of diplomatic work and international integration.

In 2019, the capital city aims to record at least 8.7% of the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth, improve the local investment and business environment in line with economic restructuring, and build city planning for the 2020-2030 period.

It will work to preserve and promote cultural values and ensure social security, while continuing efforts in administrative reform, enhancing the city’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), and stepping up the building of smart city.

According to the municipal People’s Committee, all of the 20 socio-economic goals of the city in 2018 were fulfilled, with eight of them surpassed the set targets./.
