Capital handles 31,250 smuggling cases
VGP – The Ha Noi 389 Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit (Steering Committee 389) convened a conference to sum up the tasks in 2019 and deploy new missions in 2020.

In 2019, the Steering Committee 389 handled 31,246 cases; prosecuted 113 cases with 141 people involved. Total amount of administrative fines and tax collection valued VND 4.4 trillion.
Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Le Hong Son said that smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit activities were forecast to take place complicatedly.
The Vice Chairman asked competent forces to implement the PM’s directions on market management and Resolution 41/NQ-CP, dated June 9, 2015 on stepping up the fight against smuggling, trade frauds and counterfeits in new period of time.
In the short term, the Steering Committee 389 will implement a campaign to combat smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit before, during, and after the Lunar New Year Festival and prevent firecrackers.
Mr. Son suggested departments and sectors disseminate the dangers of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit and improve performance against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit./.
