Capital generates 25,000 jobs

The Ha Noi Center of Employment Service reported that they held 18 employment placements with 564 enterprises in which 4,203 people were interviewed and 1,850 people were employed. 

In 2018, the authorities of Ha Noi plan to generate 152,000 jobs; cut unemployment rate in urban areas to under 4% and raise the percentage of trained workers to 63.5%. 

Earlier, the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee defined that job generation was one of their top tasks in combination with the socio-economic development strategy. 

In the first half of 2018, the local authorities tasked respective departments, sectors, and grass-root localities to hold 48 job placement floors; send 1,200 guest workers abroad under labor contracts; and provide jobs for 14,000 people from preferential loans. 

In the second half of the year, job placement floors will be held at Phu Xuyen, Dan Phuong, and Thach That districts. Over 20,000 rural laborers will access vocational training and 2,000 others will be sent abroad under labor contracts. Tens of thousands of poor people will get preferential loans to develop production and businesses./.
