Mr. Nguyen Nhat Cam, Director of the Ha Noi Preventive Medicine Centre reported that the outbreak was going down. He hoped that the Capital City will put an end to the epidemic at the end of November or maintain the infectious rate of 500-600 cases per month.

Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal Peoples Committee Ngo Van Quy said that this was the first time since the dengue outbreak broke out in which the number of newly-infected cases decreased under 1,000. However, in some districts, the number of new cases was still reported.
