Capital controls infectious diseases in H1

VGP – Infectious diseases were successfully put under controlled in the first six months of 2020, according to the Ha Noi Center for Disease Control.

In the first half, the capital was free from dangerously infectious diseases including Mers-CoV, Ebola, A/H5N1, and A/H7N9.

Other infectious diseases such as dengue, hand, foot, and mouth disease, measles were put under control with lower number of infection. 

As of late June 28, the city confirmed 121 coronavirus infection cases with no fatalities. As of June 29, up to 96 out of 121 cases were discharged from hospitals. Since April 15, the city has yet confirmed any new cases of community transmission.

The city confirmed 634 cases of dengue at 28 out of 30 districts. New infection cases have been on the rise over the past three weeks.

Up to 201 hand, foot, and mouth disease cases were confirmed. About 15 measles cases were discovered. 

The Center set up five quick response teams to timely respond to disease infection in accordance with instructions of the Ministry of Health and supervise patients at 63 local hospitals. 

In the first six months, over 800 suspected patients of Covid-19 were recorded. Up to 12,969 people were kept at quarantine camps./.
