Capital continues to ban bars and karaoke parlors

VGP – Deputy Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy has decided to extend closure of bars and karaoke parlors by September 16 .

The decision was made on September 8 at the 62nd video-teleconference of the Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control. 

Mr. Quy added that Ha Noi would be free of COVID-19 outbreak if no new community case is confirmed by September 16. 

The Department of Health reported that Ha Noi has yet confirmed new cases of coronavirus infection over the past 20 days (from August 19). In the third wave of infection, the city witnessed 38 cases including 11 community infection and 27 imported cases; and no fatalities.

The Deputy Chairman underlined the necessity to disseminate the latest recommendation of the Ministry of Health titled “5K” (in Vietnamese) Khau trang (facemask)- (Khu khuan) disinfection- (Khoang cach) distance- (Khong tu tap) no gathering – (Khai bao y te) health declaration to help citizens get used to  living safely with the COVID-19 pandemic in ‘new normal’ state./.
