The exhibition, entitled “Net Xuan – Art of Nom” is to mark the 88th anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (February 3) and welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

Nearly 50 classical and avant-garde calligraphy works featuring the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) are on show.

The works, inspired by poems of late renowned poets in Viet Nam’s history, are written in Nom - the Chinese character-based Vietnamese script.

The event features the brushwork performance and a calligraphy space for the community, where calligraphers teach children how to learn and write Nom scripts.

In addition, visitors to the exhibition will be able to watch artists perform calligraphy, listen to legends and historical stories about calligraphy.

Many famous Vietnamese calligraphers will participate in the exhibition.

The event runs until March 2, except for the Tet festival from February 14-17./.
