Book Festival to open

VGP - Ha Noi Book Festival has been launched from September 26 to October 2 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel to mark the 60th anniversary of the city’s liberation and the 15th anniversary of Ha Noi’s recognition as the “City for Peace” by the UNESCO.

The first Ha Noi Book Festival held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel is an important culture event, aiming to promote reading culture in the area and feature historical significance of city's Liberation Day (October 10).

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Bac Son highly appreciated the Book Festival and expected that it will be held as an annual event to promote reading culture in the area.

The fair will display books in many fields, namely "Old Thang Long - Present Ha Noi", "Books' journey", “President Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi Capital”.

In the framework of the festival, the organizing panel will organize exchanges with writers, researchers and then collect books for the city's libraries and schools and for people and soldiers in Truong Sa Archipelago.
