Bidding package signed for Hà Nội’s sky-train

VGP – The Việt Nam Railway Corporation and the Vietnamese-Japanese contractor JKT on Wednesday in Hà Nội signed a bidding contract to provide technical consultation to a project on building an elevated railway route in the city.

The 74-month contract worth nearly VND 840 billion will include surveying, making technical designs and tenders for provision of goods and equipment, facilitating site clearance and resettlement, dealing with environmental and social issues, manpower training, operation and maintenance.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Lê Mạnh Hùng, Deputy Minister of Transport, asked JKT to put forth best solutions to ensure the project’s schedule, quality and safety. He also requested relevant municipal agencies to help facilitate the site clearance.

The two-phase project involves in building a system of inner-city sky-train from Ngọc Hồi to Yên Viên. It will use Japanese ODA loans of ¥4,683 billion.
