Archaeological vestiges of TL-HN shown to public

VGP – A ceremony was held on Saturday to start a large-scale archaeological exhibition on the ancient Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, the vestige site just recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage.

For the first time, archaeological artifacts founded at No. 18 Hoàng Diệu Street, Ba Đình District, Hà Nội, was opened to the public.

The artifacts prove a 1000-year history of Thăng Long-Hà Nội through successive feudal dynasties.

The exhibition is one of cultural activities to celebrate the 1000th birthday of the capital city.

Experiencing over a millennium, the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, as the core of the capital city of Việt Nam, is really a concentration of original human and artistic values, sculpture, architectural and building styles, and urban planning techniques.

The Citadel’s vestige complex was recognized as a World Heritage on October 1.
