Activities respond to “Clean Up the World” campaign
VGP - Campaign “Clean up the world” has been launched annually in Ha Noi on September 27, raising public awareness on environment protection.

Nearly 250 people, including officials, Youth Union members, environmental protection clubs’ members and locals. They made environmental hygiene in residential areas, collected waste on DT747 street and some rural roads.
Total amount of household waste in urban area is estimated at 4,200 tons per day, industrial waste 750 tons per day, and medical waste around 8 tons per day. Waste in urban and rural area is expected to rise, which becomes an increasing problem of Ha Noi, according to statistics.
Therefore, the city has paid special attention to waste treatment, especially recycling. Different programs have been implemented in the area, such as sorting waste at sources and using organic waste as fertilizer, contributing to solving the environment issue.
It is known that the campaign aims to raise public awareness of environmental protection and promote the movement of “The public take part in environmental protection”.
In addition, the city will continue its efforts with other programs and projects on environment protection, focusing on waste recycling and treatment, popularization activities, festivals and recycling contests to drawing public attention to the issue.
