AirAsia launches two new int’l air routes

VGP - Low-cost airline AirAsia on July 1 launched two new international air routes to Malaysia’s Penang, from Viet Nam’s Ha Noi and Thailand’s island of Phuket.

Accordingly, it will operate four flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Penang-Ha Noi flight departs at 6:15am, while the return leg will take off at 8:50am on the same days.

AirAsia Head of Commercial Spencer Lee said this is the airline’s seventh route to Penang, noting that the company desires to continue promoting tourism activities between Viet Nam and Malaysia, with a focus on connecting Hanoians to international destinations within the airline’s network.

Ha Noi is the second city in Viet Nam that has direct flights to Penang, after HCMC.

Passengers booking tickets from July 2 to July 8 will have an opportunity to enjoy discounts of VND1.2 million on one-way tickets (including taxes) for the flight period until the end of January 31, 2019.

On the occasion, AirAsia is offering promotional Ha Noi-Penang fares, from VND1.2 million per ticket, which are up for grabs on July 2-8 and are applicable to travels between July 2, 2018, and January 31, 2019.

Promotional tickets can be purchased via the airline’s website and the AirAsia mobile application.
