3rd Int’l Experimental Theater Festival to be held
VGP - The 3rd International Experimental Theater Festival will be held from November 12-19 in Ha Noi.
“Experimental Theatre” is a term showing avant-garde nature of theatre artistic movements aiming at theatre innovation. Its purpose is to enrich theatrical art by innovating its form as well as its structure.

The festival is an opportunity to introduce the outstanding values of traditional and contemporary Vietnamese theatrical art to international friends, as well as giving a chance for local and foreign artists to exchange and present their works with each other.
The first and second festival was held in Viet Nam in 2002 and 2006 with the participation of delegations from China, Laos, Cambodia, the RoK, France, and others.
Around 22 countries have registered to take part in the event. Among the entries, 15 plays by artists from China, Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Singapore, Hungary, Germany, France and Viet Nam, and others have been selected to perform at the festival.
The festival is co-organised by the Viet Nam Stage Artists Association and the Performing Art Bureau (under the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism)./.
