1.9 million people install COVID-19 tracking app

Ha Noi ranked second in the number of Bluezone subscribers in Viet Nam after Da Nang with 2 million downloads.

Since determining Bluezone as instrumental in tracing people’s interaction history, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc called on people in Viet Nam to install the application.

Installing the Bluezone application would help people realize if they come into contact with infected people, be acquantances or not, thus reducing the number of people to be quarantined. Thousands of people would not have to undergo mass isolation when an infected case is detected. The application also detects cases of close contact in a timely manner and those who are asymptomatic.

Over the past time, public opinion has paid great attention to the complicated developments and cases of diseases in the city, also being very supportive to the city's solutions to prevent epidemics such as: suspending festivals, mass gatherings; taking prevention measures for those attending high school exit exam; complimenting those who provided promptly medical products to support the community, according to Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communication, Nguyen Thi Mai Huong.

The leaders of the Department of Information and Communication proposed the fundamentalist information system increase the amount of information about the leadership, direction as well as measures to prevent COVID-19 in the near future./.
